What is Your Daily Writing Life Like?

In my case, I get up and make breakfast for my husband. After he leaves for work I know I’ll be by myself in my office for most part of the day. I work from 7:30 until I feel the need to stuff my stomach with something. Then I go back in front of my computer and work again. I might break things up by making myself a coffee, by watching a movie, by reviewing my German vocabulary, or by reading a portion of whatever book I am into at the moment. During warm days, I go downtown for lunch or for a coffee in quiet restaurants and coffee houses.
I am new to writing and so far I noticed that it is a lonely profession because you don’t get to be around people a lot.
I work alone all day so you can imagine how I welcome some social contact beyond my husband. When I am doing other things, I still cannot fully get away from writing because writing stuff will be swirling around my head, new ideas will pop up and then I feel the need to be alone again to write. Writing is addictive and wanting to write better is becoming like an obsession. My husband always remind me that I am only doing this for fun and that I don’t need to do it for money because I am well provided for anyhow. He insists that I should not stress myself too much with writing and that I should take it lightly. I don’t know but for now, I’ll take the stress because writing gives me a sense of purpose.
